Appreciation, Birthday Parties, Good Will, Worthwhile activities, and more. Agree? Thoughts? I think that all people need recognition, compliments and appreciation. When you compliment or recognize someone, they might not feel comfortable receiving your nice wonderful gesture. I think this is the reason we might feel not everyone wants to be recognized. Recognition does not have to be in public in front of a big audience. Saying thank you or writing a email, short hand written note or text with the words THANK YOU can go a long way. This is the simplest way to teach someone the value of recognition. Say thank you. The absolute best way to compliment or thank a friend or peer at work or other activity.
Sometimes some thank you’s fall through the cracks. Life gets hectic and busy at times. We never know what schedule, chores or hectic to do list someone is facing. Burnout, overload, or unexpected events happy and sad can distract us all. Time has a way of healing that too.
Just recently, my wife held a client appreciation birthday party for all clients having a birthday in September and October. No strings. Just a party. Fun. Appreciate. I think this kind of good will is the same kind of good will I thought about when I met my wife for the first time. I bought her flowers. It cost me MORE than $50.00!!! What if she didn’t like flowers? I know, right. What girl does not like flowers? What if she didn’t like me? No worries. 2 results were my intention. 1. Either you like the flowers and like the gesture. 2. Nice condolence prize and we part ways. 17 years married, I think the former and not the latter played into my plan. I think the 15 guests this past weekend at my wife’s client’s birthday party appreciated the nice gesture for their birthday.
Do you say thank you much? Often? Not enough? Thoughts? Appreciation, Birthday Parties, Good Will, Worthwhile activities, and more. Agree? Thoughts?
